HCR In a Picture

Many ordinary citizens of the United States would not understand the benefits and disadvantages of the Health Care Reform. To me, Google's Living Stories gives a complete picture on what it really is. Starting with the cost of it, the House bill will cost $1.502 trillion in the next 10 years. For the Senate bill, it will cost $871 billion dollars for the next 10 years. From the taxes and other subsidized benefits, it will not increase the national debt but lower it in both bills in the Senate and in the House. With the House bill, it will lower the national deficit by $109 billion and the Senate bill will also reduce the national deficit by $132 billion.

Comparing the two bills from the House and the Senate, House will ensure 17 million and the Senate bill plans to provide service for 23 million. This figures are made to the year 2019 where if there is not health care reform, 54 million will be uninsured.

The other aspects of the bill can be reached here.
